Catching up with Hector Finch and Harbinger New York

This week we’re catching up with interior designer Joe Lucas, founder of Harbinger NY, a multiline showroom residing on the 6th floor at 200 Lex. The showroom is the exclusive home to many highly regarded brands including English lighting company, Hector Finch.

Habinger Hector Finch Intro

Hector Finch lighting has built a worldwide reputation on good design and bespoke finishes. Specializing in customizable craft-manufactured lights and lamps, the extensive collection combines contemporary design with classic motifs. The collection fits in seamlessly to the curated jewel box that is Harbinger NY.

“The wide breath of products and the distinct quality and eye for details that Hector Finch brings to the US market is what makes me love representing the line. I was lucky enough to partner up with Emma and Hector when I expanded my Los Angeles showroom Harbinger. I was thrilled to have a major lighting line join the Harbinger Family and fell in love with this dynamic duo instantly. The LA market quickly grew to love the brand (Hector Finch) and when I decided to open up Harbinger New York just over a year ago it seemed like the perfect move to have them change NYC locations to bookend the US with Harbinger,” says Joe Lucas.

Now, more than ever, we are learning to appreciate the value of home—and how bespoke pieces add meaning to the design of a space.  As we navigate our current climate both Hector Finch and Harbinger NY are looking towards the future.

“Balancing an uncertain future with the practical concerns of the moment are top of mind. What we do now is really going to reflect on us as a business long term, people are going to remember how we behave” states Emma Finch, Director of Hector Finch.

“Even during this uncertain time, Hector and Emma have really focused down perfectly, to make their production lines and back office keep moving forward without delays.  I would say out of any of our lines on both coasts, the Hector Finch orders are keeping us busy.  Long live the King and Queen Finch!,” says Lucas.
